Celebrating Atlanta’s Culture: 404 Day 2025 Recap

Every April 4th, Atlanta comes alive to celebrate 404 Day, a tribute to the city’s original area code and a symbol of its rich cultural heritage. This unofficial holiday has grown into a citywide celebration of Atlanta’s music, art, and community spirit.

Origins of 404 Day

404 Day is named after Atlanta’s original area code, 404, and has become an annual celebration of the city’s influence, culture, people, experiences, and stories. In 2025, the celebration expanded to five days of nonstop culture, celebration, and community, featuring live DJs, local vendors, celebrity softball, and more.

Undaground Madness at Big Oomp’s 404 Day Event

Undaground Madness was proud to attend a special 404 Day event hosted by Atlanta music legend Big Oomp at BOSK (Big Oomp Studio Kitchen). The event featured DJ Montay of 107.9, a key member of Oomp Camp, and performances by artists such as Baby D, Crime Mob, and Mykko Montana. The beautiful Portia Bruner from Portia Show on Fox 5 was also in attendance. The atmosphere was electric, celebrating the city’s vibrant music scene and community.

2 Chainz’s 404 Day Concert

Adding to the festivities, Atlanta’s own 2 Chainz headlined a 404 Day concert at The Stave Room. The event was a highlight of the weekend, showcasing the city’s talent and drawing fans from all over.

Community and Cultural Celebrations

Beyond the music, 404 Day featured a variety of events celebrating Atlanta’s culture:

  • 404 Day Festival at Piedmont Park: Held on April 4, 2025, from 12 PM to 9 PM, this free festival featured music, art, food, drinks, and a dance party. It included multiple stages and over 100 vendors, aiming to provide an inclusive Atlanta experience and support local creatives and businesses.
  • 404 Day Parade: The inaugural parade marched down Peachtree Street, featuring local bands, artists, and community groups.
  • 404 Gala: Held at the Fox Theatre, this event raised funds for the 404 Fund Scholarship, supporting education and community initiatives.
  • Beats on the Beltline: An outdoor block party with live DJs, food vendors, and a celebration of Atlanta’s diverse music scene.

404 Day 2025 was a testament to Atlanta’s enduring spirit and cultural richness. Undaground Madness was honored to be part of the celebrations, capturing the essence of the city’s heartbeat.
