Born In Daytona Beach, Fl., and raised in DeLand, Fl., Fash Cash is an up and coming artist with a style all her own. Representing Hav-Not Muzic Group, the R&B singer has been singing since the age of 6. Her passion for music led to her to begin song writing at 12 years old. Where most young girls were worried about the latest fashion trends and hairstyles , Fash Cash had her own agenda and becoming a star was in her plans. Read the article below to get a glimpse into her life.
When I was growing up, I was back and forth between Daytona and DeLand, so I experienced life growing up in Daytona Beach, as well as in DeLand. I would say growing up where I am from is no different than any other hood. You have your good experiences and you have your bad experiences, but for the most part you experience a lot growing up, whether it be good or bad.
Life has taught me to continue to be humble because being humble and having a personal relationship with God will take you further in life than trying to do everything yourself.
The turning point for me was when I wrote and recorded my first single “Lullaby Music”, because for years, I did nothing with my voices or writing abilities -I shied away from music. When I recorded that track, I felt it… I knew that I was to be sharing my gift with others, moving them through music.
I grew up in one of the greatest eras of R&B history! So, naturally I was influenced by the biggest names of 90’s like Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, Faith Evans, Aaliyah, Deborah Coxx, Brandy, Tamia, the list goes on…
Yes! I have “Lullaby Music”, “Married Man”, and “Without You” which can be listened to on my SoundCloud at https://soundcloud.com/fash-cash and also on my website at http://www.fashcashofficial.com.
The video “Married Man” can be viewed on Daily Motion, MUZU, and VEVO.
I don’t want no married man! I don’t want nobody that belong to somebody else! I feel that in any instance, if you are aware that you are involved with a married man, you should leave. There’s no sense in carrying on a relationship with someone who doesn’t belong to you; someone who is already spoken for. You have to respect yourself and know your worth.’Cause everybody deserves someone they can call their own.
I had a good time on the set of “Married Man”. I initially went in to do a photo shoot with Skyy Johnson, the photographer over at Skyy Johnson Studios. When I came on the set Dannie Ace was just finishing up her photo shoot. I was a little nervous because it was my first photo shoot, so when my shoot began, we cued in “Married Man” so that I could loosen up a bit. “Married Man” brought a different vibe to the set and Skyy decided that we go ahead and shoot the video for “Married Man”. I was combative at first because i just knew I was not prepared for a video shoot, but I came around to the idea. Dannie Ace agreed to feature in the video and we started filming. Just so happens, it came out GREAT!
Honestly, I haven’t been on stage in a while, but I can say that I enjoyed the feeling. I’m always in the studio, so at this moment I would rather be on stage performing.
I am currently working on some material for both my EP “Lipstick” and my mixtape “Beach Girl”.
I am currently studio bound, finishing up music for my EP “Lipstick which is set to release Spring, 2015. But shows are definitely in the works for 2015.
Honestly, I feel as though the relationship between black men and police and other authority figures is the new form of the relationship between slaves and slave owners. The hatred, the oppression, the profiling, the killings, the inequality, the public displays of injustice gone unjustified against black men forces me to believe that we are entering an age that the police must be policed. But each individual’s heart will be judged in due time. We all have to answer to someone higher than ourselves.
Do you have any shout outs? Anything special you want to leave The Corner with? A freestyle or some hot bars? Any messages you want the readers to receive?
I would first like to send a shout out to my manager, Geechi Mouf, CEO of Hav-Not Muzic Group, thank you for believing in me, our friendship is truly a blessing! Shout out to my co-manager and legal consultant, Mr. Ronald Charles, we’re on go!!
To my audience, fans, and followers, I am saying to you that all it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you”.
Be on the look out for my EP “Lipstick” set to release Spring, 2015. Also make sure y’all check out my music on SoundCloud, and if you haven’t already, check out “Married Man” the Director’s Cut on DailyMotion, MUZU, and VEVO. My music can also be purchased on Amazon and iTunes.
