I have read the post by Dear Modern Society and I understand where she is coming from. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is what occurs in the ring, who lands the most precise and powerful punches, and the skills and endurance of each boxer. Who do you think will win and what do you think will contribute to their winning? If either opponent wins what lesson do you think they will learn from this?
As a pacifist who doesn’t have an interest in sports, personally I’ve never been into boxing. However with all of the weeklong hullabaloo about the Mayweather and Pacquiao fight tonight, I was finally sucked into watching the match alongside the rest of the world. Floyd Mayweather is currently undefeated making him a good candidate to win. However, while Pacquiao has a few losses, he has won more matches total than Floyd has fought in. So who am I rooting for?
After hours of research and googling, I’ve decided to put my faith into Pacquiao. Regardless of stats, Pacquiao has the most inspirational story out of the two. Pacquiao brought himself out of poverty, and according to Forbes he is currently worth about forty one million dollars.
