Daytona Beach, FL – A 19-year-old man and his 17-year-old friend are facing charges after police say they found numerous stolen items – including 3 TV’s, an iPad and a 30-can pack of beer – inside a home near Derbyshire Road.Tyron Stokes (picture courtesy Volusia County Jail) of Berkshire Road in Daytona Beach was arrested at his home at 9:11am Wednesday by the Daytona Beach Police Department. The other suspect facing numerous burglary charges is not being identified by WNDB due to his being underage, but he is a Daytona Beach resident.DBPD says Stokes and the 17-year-old worked together in at least 1 recent home burglary and 3 vehicle break-ins, the latter of which eventually led to their arrests.Officers responded to a home on Flicker Way around 3am Wednesday when the residents there called to say several items had been stolen from a 2014 Chevy Impala and a 2011 Ford F-150.One of those residents, according to police, used an application called “Find My iPad” which tracked the stolen item to Stokes’ home on Berkshire Road.DBPD says they managed to get a search warrant at that point and entered the home, finding the iPad hidden in a hole carved into a wall in the garage. It was at Stokes’ home where they also found a 30-pack of Bud Light taken from the F-150.They also reported finding 3 stolen TV sets from another burglary at a different home on Berkshire Road that morning. The arrest report also notes that officers found a wallet in Stokes’ home that belonged to a 19-year-old woman. She told DBPD it was taken the night before from her 2004 Chrysler as it was parked at her home on Sunset Circle.Other stolen items reportedly found at the home include a Microsoft XBox console, 3 GPS units and 2 cell phones.Stokes is held on $8,500 bond on 4 burglary counts and possession of Xanax without a prescription.
