After the tragic death of Shakyri Willis, Daytona Beach resident, the team Community Healing Project Inc. decided to host a peaceful Remembrance Walk simply for people to reflect, come together, and promote that the tragic losses of our people has to stop. Tensions where definetly high seeing that the incident involved police. With the alarming amount of racism and police brutality, this sent the city on edge. But the team decided to shift the atmosphere to positivity and reflection. Even Mayor Henry came and gave an impromptu speech. H.B.
